He previously served as Head of the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program (KPI) at UMY from 2012 to 2016. He is also currently a Permanent Lecturer in the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program (KPI) at Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY) and Director/Guardian of the Budi Mulia Islamic Boarding School in Yogyakarta.

He serves as a member of the Sharia Supervisory Board based on the resolutions of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on November 28, 2025. He is also a regular columnist for the daily newspaper Ekonomi Neraca, an advisor to the Institute for Islamic Development Economics Studies (LKEPI) in Jakarta, and a lecturer in Islamic Finance at the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI) at Azzahra Islamic University, Jakarta.
