KB BANK SYARIAH OFFICIALLY OCCUPIES NEW SUB BRANCH OFFICE (KCP) IN PADANG

Padang - KB Bank Syariah has officially established a new Sub-Branch Office (KCP) in Padang. The office, located at Jalan Jenderal Sudirman 4, Sawahan Dalam, Padang Timur, was officially occupied on Tuesday, April 14, 2025.
Director of KB Bank Syariah, Ji Kyu Jang, stated that the KCP currently occupied by KB Bank Syariah is housed in the KB Bank Padang Branch building. This move reflects the synergy between PT Bank KB Bukopin Syariah and its parent company, PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (KB Bank), through a co-location arrangement.
“The KB Bank Syariah Padang Sub-Branch Office, which was previously located at Jl. Thamrin No. 15A, Belakang Pondok (Pd), Padang Selatan, has now officially relocated to Jl. Jend. Sudirman 4, Sawahan Dalam, Padang Timur, Padang City,” said Ji Kyu Jang after the inauguration ceremony.
He explained that the presence of KB Bank Syariah at this new location is expected to provide added value to the surrounding community—economically, commercially, and socially. He believes that the new location will make it easier for the public to access KB Bank Syariah’s services.
“We are confident that this relocation will facilitate the acquisition of new customers while providing greater convenience for our existing customers,” he added.
He further stated that the co-location initiative between PT Bank KB Bukopin Syariah and its parent company, PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (KB Bank), aligns with the One KBFG synergy within Indonesia’s financial services industry.
He noted that One KBFG represents the synergy and collaboration among affiliates of KB Financial Group (KBFG) operating in Indonesia. The objective of this co-location is to deliver comprehensive one-stop services to meet all customer needs.

Meanwhile, Yaman Ajiz, Head of the Bukittinggi Branch overseeing the Padang KCP, stated that in addition to the Bukittinggi Branch Office, KB Bank Syariah is now present in Padang at its new location.
He expressed hope that the new location would enable the bank to provide better services to customers. “Yes, because this sub-branch office is more strategically located in the city center. With this, we can further expand our programs and products in West Sumatra,” he said.
He added that as a state-owned Islamic bank, the company currently offers two flagship products: Hajj savings and gold investment, which remain highly relevant in serving customers in West Sumatra.
“For gold savings, customers can start with small-scale investments, and this has strong potential to generate profits for customers,” he explained.
In addition to Hajj savings and gold investment products, KB Bank Syariah also provides various multi-purpose financing services, including employee-backed financing and loan facilities designed to reduce reliance on online lending platforms, which are often considered detrimental to the public.
